I amTeresa Wythe
- a painter and children's book illustrator.
I was born
in South Africa and lived there until I was six. I still have
vivid memories of the people, the colours and the light. More
recently I have visited The Gambia which has rekindled my love
of the people and the country.
In England, I often visit the coastal town of Southwold to draw
inspiration from the sea, the beach huts and the people. As
a place of escape I find Southwold a haven where I can reflect
and contemplate life's mysteries.
My studio in Bedfordshire is a hut in which I surround myself
with an eclectic mix of found objects and thoughts. When I am
in there, I could be anywhere. I hope my paintings take you
somewhere. I have sold works all over the world, and I am currently
writing and illustrating a childrens' poetry book. To find out
